July Horticulture Events Set For Katonah's Lasdon Park

BEDFORD, N.Y. -- A variety of horticulture events will be held at Lasdon Park and Arboretum beginning in July. 

A schedule of events is below. 

Children’s Adventures in Horticulture: Friday, July 11, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Introduce children to the joy of gardening. Fee is $10 per adult; pre-registration required at 886-5108 or carolinesgardens@aol.com.

Incense Making Workshop: Saturday, July 12, 10:30 a.m.-noon. A hands-on class to learn about fragrances, aromatherapy and incense. Fee is $15; pre-registration required at 886-5108 or carolinesgardens@aol.com.

Tour of the Lasdon Memorial Garden: Sunday, July 13, 2 p.m. Join the horticulturist for a walk through a fragrance garden, shrub border and a formal garden. Meet at the green gate at the entrance to the garden.

Tour of the Main House: Sunday, July 20, 2 p.m. Learn the history of the park during a tour with the horticulturist. Meet at the Shop at Lasdon. Reservations required at 864-7264.

Lasdon Park, Arboretum and Veterans Memorial is a Westchester County park on Route 35 in Katonah.
