Renato 'Ron' Borrello, 69 of Fort Lee

FORT LEE, N.J. -- Renato “Ron” Borrello, 69, of Fort Lee, passed away with his family by his bedside Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015.

Born June 4, 1946, in Sant’ Agatad’Esaro, Calabria, Italy, he moved to Harlem, N.Y. in 1952 and subsequently to Fort Lee with his family, where he remained a lifelong resident.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Maria Borrello (nee Gallo), as well as his daughters, Stephanie Savoia and her husband Vincent and their daughters Sienna and Arianna, and daughter Gabriella Greco and her husband Arturo. He also is survived by his brother Pasquale Borrello and his wife Rose, as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Borrello proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam era and was a devoted and hard-working mailman in Fort Lee for 40 years. He recently retired, having served as a civil servant for 44 years. 

He was predeceased by his parents Maria (Nee Spinelli) and Giuseppe Borrello. 

Viewing will be from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the A.K. Macagna Funeral Home 495 Anderson Ave., Cliffside Park. There will be a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Saint Nicholas RC Church, 442 E. Brinkerhoff Ave., Palisades Park. Entombment to follow at Madonna Mausoleum in Fort Lee.
