The church will be holding its second annual "Back 2 School" block party and concert on Saturday.

Community members are invited to enjoy free food and music, and meet local vendors.

At the event, the church hands out free school supplies to children in need, brings in professionals to administer rapid-result HIV testing and other medical tests, and invites the NAACP and other non-profit organizations to provide the community with educational materials and information on activism.

Marian Bobian, founder of the event and leader of the Bethel Baptist Church Fine Arts Ministry, said, "I created this event as a way for our church to connect with community that we are serving, and the surrounding communities as well. It is our community evangelistic outreach effort."

The event is from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. at the church,  1 Fisher Ave.
