Two Seriously Injured From Weekend Double Stabbing In Cambridge: Police

Two people are in the hospital with life-threatening injuries following a double stabbing in Cambridge, authorities said.

The first victim was found near 750 Massachusetts Avenue and the second was found near 5 Western Avenue, both in the vicinity of Central Square, according to Cambridge Police. 

Both male victims, said to be in their 20s, are believed to be unhoused and were taken to local hospitals for treatment. One victim was discharged on Sunday morning while the other remains in the hospital, police said. 

Initial investigation suggests the victims were stabbed after a fight that broke out near McElroy Park before 4 a.m. on Sunday, July 10, police said. Two possible male suspects were last seen fleeing the scene towards River Street, according to police. 

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 617-349-3300.
