BEDFORD, N.Y. -- Students in the Fox Lane High School Rock Ensemble will perform at the legendary B.B. King Blues Club and Grill in New York City on Thursday, Feb. 4.
The students will be performing works by Genesis, Blues Traveler, Christina Aguilera, Green Day, Alanis Morisette, Aerosmith, Jane’s Addiction, Kansas and more. Special guest Hayden Vitera, rock violinist originally from Texas, who infuses elements of rock and Latin music, will join the Fox Lane students for a few tunes.
The co-directors of the Fox Lane High School Rock Ensemble are faculty members Matt Vanacoro and Mike Piescki. The students practice weekly in various rock band configurations.
“This will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” said drummer Noah Durica, a senior in the Fox Lane Rock Ensemble.
The performance begins at 7 p.m. General admission is $20.
