The former student, Ralph Tarchine III, started doing drugs and alcohol in ninth grade and got into the car wreck during his senior year while driving under the influence, according to an information flyer for the forum.
"He went to jail and is now openly and truthfully talking about his experience and the impact that teen drug and alcohol use had on his life," the flyer states. "He hopes his powerful and personal story resonates with teens and their parents."
Tarchine will be joined by Michael Borelli, a Westchester County Assistant District Attorney, who will talk about legal consequences stemming from drug and alcohol abuse.
The forum is cosponsored by Mount Kisco Partners in Prevention and two parent-teacher organizations, the Fox Lane High School Association (FLHSA) and the Fox Lane Middle School Association (FLMSA).
The forum is scheduled for Wednesday, March 8 at 7 p.m. It will be held at the high school's large cafeteria.
