Family Portrait Day Set For Katonah Museum Of Art

KATONAH, N.Y. -- A program-packed day for all ages featuring 20-minute portrait sessions with local portrait artists will be offered for the first time ever at the Katonah Museum of Art during Family Portrait Day from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8.

Those attending may partake in portrait-themed projects for kids and adults, make a "crazy" photo collage, sculpt a portrait coin, sketch funny faces, enjoy story time with award-winning illustrator Jerry Pinkney and take a family-friendly gallery tour.

Here's a rundown of the schedule:

Noon to 4 p.m.: Portrait-themed projects for kids and adults, including making "crazy" photo collages, portrait coins and sketching funny faces.

1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.: Pinkney will read from "Black Cowboy, Wild Horses."

Noon to 5 p.m.: Personal portrait sessions.

Admission is free for members, $10 for non-members.
