BEDFORD HILLS, N.Y. -- The Benefit Shop of Bedford Hills, which has become the first stop for many local designers and homeowners searching for antiques and collectibles, will host its inaugural auction planned for Sunday, Sept, 21.
Collectors can shop and bid from a greatly-expanded inventory of more than 500 lots. Whether viewed at the auction site (an 8,000 sq. ft. warehouse at 27 Radio Circle, Mt. Kisco, NY) or online at www.thebenefitshop.org, bidding will be easy and accessible.
Auction-goers will find items at all price points—from low to lofty—and everyone is invited to join in the fun.
Included are period antique and contemporary furniture, original artwork, carpets, lighting and antique and modern decorative objects as well as a large selection of fine quality sterling silver flatware and serving pieces. In addition, there are more than one hundred lots of period antique to contemporary fine quality jewelry and watches, including many diamond and platinum Art Deco period pieces which have been with the same family for 80 years. All are invited to preview the items from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18 and Friday, Sept. 19 and from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20. Arrive early and preview items the morning of the sale, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 21. Register for absentee bidding through LiveAuctioneers.com or Invaluable.com —both are open for bids for two weeks before the auction. Prior to the auction, call 914-864-0707 to register for telephone bidding. The full catalogue will be posted online by Sept. 5 and will be viewable at thebenefitshop.org. For the next auction in late October, donations and/or consignments are welcome (consignor receives 80 percent of sale price). Contact Pam Stone at 914-864-1919.
The Benefit Shop is located at 720 Bedford Road, Bedford Hills.
