The Parent Battle of the Bands, which features local talent from across the Bedford Central School District, includes Ask Your Mom, Butterbee Love and the Gorilla Orchestra, Exit 5, ONL and The Standing Eights. Several members of the bands are parents who have children in Bedford schools.

The Middle School Maniacs, made up of Fox Lane Middle School music teachers, will be the opening act.

“This fundraising event is a great way to showcase the talent in our community,” said Paul Tooker, head of the Bedford school district music department and FAME board member. “The event promises to be a great family evening of music, food and fun.”

“I am thrilled to participate in this event because it’s a great way to bring families together in a fun and entertaining venue,” said Brett Perrine, parent and band member of Ask Your Mom. “Music is a great way for parents and children to connect.”

Tickets and advance seating are available online at bedfordfame.org. Tickets, which will also be available at the door, are priced at $20 for orchestra seating and $15 for balcony seating. Refreshments will be sold.

FAME continues to nurture students’ educational experiences by funding meaningful initiatives beyond the scope of the school budget. This includes classroom mini-grants, scholarships, enrichment opportunities, artists-in-residence, capital improvements and more. For more information go to bedfordfame.org.
