BEDFORD, N.Y. – The Town of Bedford will celebrate Arbor Day with a tree-planting ceremony Saturday, April 25, at 9 a.m., on Dwight Lane (at Cherry Street) Bedford Hills.
Supervisor Chris Burdick will read the annual Town of Bedford Arbor Day proclamation. On behalf of the National Arbor Day Foundation, a representative of the state Department of Environmental Conservation will present the “Tree City USA” designation award to the town. This honor is presented in recognition of the ongoing tree care and tree plantings Bedford has performed in the last year.
This is the 15th year Bedford has been designated as a “Tree City USA.”
A rain date of Saturday, May 2 has been scheduled, if necessary.
