Bedford Audubon Hosts Free Lecture On Hudson River Plants

BEDFORD, N.Y. – A professional from the New York Botanical Garden will give a free lecture on the intertidal plants of the Hudson River, the Bedford Audubon Society recently announced.

Robert Naczi will speak Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served at 7 p.m.

The event will be held at the Kotonah Village Library’s garden room. Advanced registration is not required; attendees are encouraged to bring a reusable mug to help Bedford Audubon reduce its ecological footprint while serving beverages at the event.

Naczi, who earned a doctoral degree in botany from the University of Michigan, is writing the book "A New Manual of Vascular Plants of Northeastern United States and Adjacent Canada." He co-authored the 2008 book "Mistaken Identity? Invasive Plants and their Native Look-alikes: An identification guide for the Mid-Atlantic."
