Beans And Bulldozers On Tap At Pound Ridge Chili Cook-Off, 'Touch-a-truck'

POUND RIDGE, N.Y. – There will be plenty of beans – and a bulldozer or two -- at Pound Ridge’s chili cook-off and “Touch-a-Truck” next month.

The event is being sponsored by the town’s Recreation Department and the Pound Ridge Community Church’s Play School.

It takes place from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Pound Ridge Elementary School, which is located at 7 Pound Ridge Road.

Tickets are $10 for folks age 10 and up; kids age 9 and under are free.

The entry fee for groups or individual wishing to participate in the cook-off is $25.

At the “Touch-a-Truck” firetrucks, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment will be on site for kids, and adults, to peruse.

There will also be music played by local teen bands, crafts and baked goods for sale.
