Kitchen 21 recently opened in Coney Island and worked with Brooks Custom for a year to get the bar top just right. The bar top runs the length of the restaurant.
"We wanted to keep the historic aesthetic of the building," Jennifer Donohue of Brooks Custom said. "It's awesome. It looks so cool, it's just this massive bartop. We know it was going to be kind of a challenge, but it was something we knew we could handle."
Donohue said it was very fulfilling to finally complete the project.
"We communicate with them so we can interpret their vision," Donahue said. "There were no secrets or surprises."
Brooks Custom has been operating in Mount Kisco for over four decades and recently made a bar top for Katonah Woods.
