Credit Card Processor Will Bump All Employees' Salaries To $70K

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A higher minimum wage may not have been approved in New York State, but a Seattle-based credit processing company has plans on making sure none of its employees worry about their finances again by paying them least $70,000 per year, according to The New York Times.

Dan Price, the founder of Gravity Payments, said he read a study on how much happier employees who make less than $70,000 were when given extra money. He decided to do that by cutting his annual salary and by dumping most of this year's profits into his new initiative, The New York Times said.
