In “You’ve Got Mail!”, Kurth’s design transforms the concept of the mailbox into a fun, interactive holiday exhibit. Serving as a mudroom entry hall at the holiday house, the artistically arranged wall of mailboxes invites visitors to write and post letters to Santa, U.S. troops abroad, Hurricane Sandy storm victims and patients at the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital at Westchester Medical Center.

As the exhibition nears the holidays, the Carol Kurth team will mail the letters and spread holiday cheer. Artwork from Ridgefield-based painter Mary Pat Devine will also be featured in the space and will be available for purchase at the close of the exhibition.

“My design team is excited to be part of the Festive Home this year, especially since our passion for orange aligns perfectly with the Guild's "Color Your Holidays” theme,” said Kurth, whose firm is at 644 Old Post Road.

“We love design, and this event was an excellent opportunity to be creative and give back to the community and to those less fortunate,” she said.

The Ridgefield Guild of Artists will celebrate the opening of the Festive Home with a special preview party on Friday. Admission to the party is $10. The Festive Home continues with free admission from Saturday through Dec. 23.

The Ridgefield Guild of Artists is at 34 Halpin Lane in Ridgefield, Conn. For more information, contact the Guild at 203-438-8863, email rgoa@sbcglobal.net or visit the Guild’s website. All proceeds from this event will benefit future Ridgefield Guild of Artists’ programs and exhibitions.
